It's a pretty decent looking piece, but there are a few flaws. In the picture, the lantern hangs over the circular ring at the bottom. It also is about an inch or two higher then the hook below it. The one that I received is quite different. My lantern hangs half in, half out, of that ring and it also hangs right at the level of that hook at the bottom.For me, it's more of a decorative piece. I'm not going to be lighting a candle in it, so I haven't tried that. However, the door is a little hard trying to close it. I have to use a little force and hope for the best.In a darker room with limited lighting, the blue glass doesn't show up that good. But if you put it near the sunlight, or have pretty good lighting in your room, then the blue looks really nice.The construction is not of the best quality, as the ring on the bottom is not level, so it has a tendency to rock back and forth a little bit. So just don't touch it, and it won't rock.Bottom Line: You get what you pay for. Cheap price, poor construction, but... it looks decent enough as a decorative item.
